Using Crates for Interior Design

Crates

Crates are boxes or platforms made from wooden slates. They are used to transport or stack various merchandise. Crates are generally pretty dirty by the time they are no longer used, so if you plan on using them inside your house, they will need a good scrubbing. You can either use them with a natural look by simply sanding them down or you can give them a coat of paint for a more coordinated look with the rest of your furniture and decor.
Here are a few examples of ways in which you can use crates in your house.

Entrance

Crates used in the entrance make a statement to anyone who steps into your house. You can use them for storage (for shoes, accessories, books, etc) or for decorative purpose.
